AOAO Case Log System

Effective December 1, 2012, the AOBOS is no longer accepting surgical log submissions generated from the AOAO case log system.

Candidates must use the AOBOS Clinical Log Template to compile the surgical case log for the Part III Clinical Examination.

Osteopathic Continuous
Certification (OCC)

OCC began January 1, 2013 for all time-dated board certified orthopedic surgeons.

Participation in OCC is mandated by the American Osteopathic Association. Your ability to practice may be at risk for non-compliance.

As a certified osteopathic orthopedic surgeon, you will be required to participate in all five (5) components of OCC to maintain your certification. The components are: Unrestricted Licensure; Lifelong Learning/CME; Cognitive Assessment; Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement; and Continuous AOA Membership.

2013 Written and OCC Cycle
Examination Dates

The 2013 Written examination is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Prometric centers across the country.

The 2013 OCC Cycle Examination is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Prometric Centers.
